Judaic art is a fulfillment of “hidur mitzvah,” the principle to practice mitzvot (religious commandments) with beauty. It is in this spirit that I create the types of Judaic artworks displayed here that enhance community spaces, homes, and rituals. The artworks presented here were created as commissions, self-initiated works, or as part of my role as a full-time graphic designer.

The Darnov Art Process for a Judaic Art Commission:

1) Intro Phone Call
This is an opportunity for me to hear about your goals for your project and any visual ideas you have.

2) Signed Agreement
The agreement lays out all the details of how I will create your artwork and ensures that everyone is on the same page about logistics and payment.

3) Sketches
I will visualize your ideas for your artwork first as a series of small sketches and then as a more detailed drawing. Along the way, you will have the chance to make edits and changes.

4) Finished Painting
I will turn the detailed drawing into a finished painting and fine-tune it until you completely love it!

5) Printing and Delivery!
If your project involves printing, I will facilitate printing and shipping your artwork through a high-quality, archival print shop. If you use your own printer, I will provide a high-resolution print-ready file for them to use.

Please note: this process is a general outline and may vary depending on your unique project.
